Conceived on the occasion of the 2015 Paris Climate Conference (COP21), the video program “Art Speaks Out” aims at raising awareness about environmental problems and ecological issues though the universal language of the visual arts. Curated by ikonoTV, a channel that only broadcasts art, the selection of videos will be screened at Istanbul Modern within the scope of “TILL IT’S GONE”, an exhibition on nature and sustainability. In the program “Art Speaks Out”, 57 artists “speak out” about environmental problems through videos, experimental films, and non-narrative documentaries.
